When it comes to choosing an engagement ring or wedding band, you want more than something beautiful — you want something meaningful. What's the Process?
Step 1: Discover
Collect your ideas, inspirations, or heirloom stones, then meet with us for a FREE one-on-one design consultation. Whether you have a clear vision or no idea where to start, we’ll guide you through the possibilities, discuss your needs and budget, and begin shaping your unique design.
To move forward with the final design and production, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.
Step 2: Design
Now we can begin bringing your design to life. You’ll receive custom sketches and a 3D digital model of your piece, crafted to reflect your vision. Want to see it in real life first? We can also create a physical wax model you can try on to help you visualize your finished custom engagement ring or wedding band.
You’ll also select your center stone from a curated set of diamonds or gemstones handpicked just for you based on your design, preferences, and budget. Choose from ethically-sourced diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, or pearls — many from small family businesses and artisanal miners. Each gem is selected from our trusted international network, and every option is a perfect fit for your piece and price range.
We’ll make adjustments together based on what you see and love. Once you’re completely happy with the design, we send it off to be carefully crafted by hand in our studio.
Step 3: Develop
Once your final design is approved and your stone is selected, we begin the crafting process. Your jewelry is expertly built by hand in our Kansas City studio, using time-honored techniques and modern precision. Every piece is inspected by Josh Kroman himself to ensure flawless execution and lasting quality.
Because all work is done in-house, we’re able to maintain full control over craftsmanship, timelines, and care — giving you peace of mind through every step.
Step 4: Done!
After 3-6 weeks, your custom ring is ready for its debut. You can make your final payments and pick up your finished custom engagement ring or wedding band from our store.

Step One
Schedule a Design Meeting
- Collect your ideas and inspirations then visit us for a 1-on-1 personal design meeting.
- During our first meeting we will discuss your needs and budget.
- Together we will start designing your custom piece of jewelry.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit will be collected to proceed with the final design & manufacturing process.
Step Two
Design Review & Gemstone Selection
- Review the completed 3D computer model of your jewelry.
- A physical 3D wax model can also be created so you can wear your design to visualize the finished product.
- Discuss any changes or additions you would like after seeing the computer or physical model.
- Choose your favorite diamond or gemstone from a curated selection handpicked for you.
Step Three
Final Production
- Your custom designed jewelry is handmade by our master jewelers using traditional and cutting edge techniques.
- The diamonds or gemstones you personally selected are set in your jewelry.
- Collect final payment and pick up your new custom jewelry.
- Celebrate your special moment & have fun.
